John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Kaplan; children, John (Theresa) Kaplan, Jr., Michelle (Rob) Kaplan McAndrew; grandchildren, David, John III and Rachael Kaplan, Elizabeth “Elle” and William “Will” McAndrew; adored brother, William (Carolyn) Kaplan; sisters by marriage, Helen Abrahamson, Mary Jane (Greg) Marusich, Kathryn (Mark) Mann; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
