Like his father, Dennis was as much a friend as he was a physician. Please accept the condolences of the Monico family.

I had the awesome privilege of working for Dr. Bill and Dr. Dennis at SWFP. I took all the mentoring they gave me and used it throughout my career. Dave was very fond of Dr. Dennis and the great care he gave and those "sand volleyball games" they played. To all of the DeRoin family, we send our condolences and prayers to you during this very sad time.

Dr. D was a gentle soul. He always smiled when he said hello and gave a hug when saying goodbye. He cared about people and made sure you felt that. He will be missed.

There is certainly a special place in heaven for doctors and Dr. DeRoin was among the special ones. He was always so caring and kind to our family (and he was proud so proud of his!). Our small town was blessed to have him. Thank you for sharing him.

Life moves at lightning speed–in the end, it won’t be the days that matter most, but the moments spent with those we love.--by Glenn Van Ekeren

Dennis, may the heavenly waters keep your net full. Save a pole for me for when I arrive. Randy

My deepest sympathies to Marcia and the entire family. From our youth and growing-up together in Wausa, to talking with Dennis at last year's annual NAFP meeting, it was obvious what a thoughtful and caring person Dennis was in all his life's endeavors. I hope and pray that your memories of his life of service and family devotion, along with God's love, will sustain you through your loss. Milo Anderson MD Fremont, NE
