A lot of memories and experiences come to mind when I think of my grandma. Perhaps the strongest was simply the way she would make me feel through her actions whenever you visited or called; welcomed, loved, special, and appreciated. She is missed but we are joyful that she is reunited with Harry and still one call away.

I am saddened to hear of Helen's passing. I knew her well when my sons were at St. Pius. She and I worked in the cafeteria together many times. She was a beautiful lady and I remember well her smile to all she met. Cherish all those wonderful memories!

Helen`s fabulous family outlined it so perfectly last night. Every challenge in life should begin with prayer.

To John and all of the Jenkins family,
From all of the Walter and Margaret Smith family of Plattsmouth Nebraska, our deepest sympathy. Your mother was so beautiful and kind to everyone she met. Know that she is with your father now and with all of you in her prayers for you. God bless you.

Gramma Helen filled the world with so much joy and light! The most important life lesson she taught me is to find the positive in every situation. Life is much easier, and more enjoyable, if you look on the bright side. We are so happy you are back with Grandpa Harry and Bobby! We have a new angel watching over us! We love you and will miss you Gramma Helen!

I remember meeting Helen in the summer of 1992. She was on a 50 mile bike ride with the Omaha Pedlers. She was in her sixties, I was in my thirties. As we rode along I learned she played tennis and swam with a masters swim class as well as rode with this bike group. And she'd had 12 children, impressive. After that meeting, I ran into Helen at a Manresa Breakfast while I was working at Creighton. She stopped her conversation to introduce me to the person she was speaking to, I'll never forget how special she made me feel. She was very special in our cycling community. I'll always remember her generous spirit. Rest in Peace Helen.
