I always enjoyed conversing, joking, and singing with Vern at church. He is a dear soul and will be greatly missed.

From the Westside High School Class of 1971 we want to pass along our condolences on the passing of our friend Vern. I was the President of DECA our Sr. year and Vern was my VP. We had a lot of fun in class and DECA activities. I can say for myself Vern was one of the few friends I had in high school. Our entire class is sadden by this news and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. He was missed at the reunion this summer. God give you all peace as Vern now has.

I worked with Vern for many year's and he was known as one of the nicest men I have known. Vern was friendly and just a friend to everyone around him , he will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. My deepest condolences to the family but I know he is now in the hands of our Holy Father In Heaven.

I am so saddened at this news. Vern was such a kind hearted soul. I ran into him a few months ago after having not seen him for several years. It was a joy to see and talk to him. I'm praying for his sweet wife and daughters that he cherished and always talked about...have peace and comfort at this difficult time.
