Thomas Mann, 56, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 21, 1959 and passed away November 2, 2015 in Omaha.

Preceded in death by his grandma, Edna Mann (“Nanny”) and his nephew, Daniel Boe.

Survived by his mother, Nora Mann of Canada; sister, Sally Banghart; nieces, Lauren and Megan; uncle and aunt, Jim and Doris Woods; cousins, Donna Boe, Jim (Mariateresa) Woods Jr., Patty (Steve) Powell, Betsy (Ben) Belmont, and Pete Woods; nephews, Matt, Bryce (Julie), Tyler, Mike, David, Reece, Dylan, Connor, Federico, and Joseph; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, loving family and friends.

Private family services will be held Thursday.

Services: Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Kingsway Christian Church, Omaha, NE. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Omaha. Memorials to; US Bank, Micah and Jonah Poyzer Education Fund.

Visitation: Friday, November 6, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Pacific Street Chapel.

Michael Dale Poyzer was born on December 28, 1979, in Des Moines, Iowa.  His family moved to Sheldon, IA, when he was 6.  He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1999 where he was active in band, theatre, and was the manager of the football team.
 Michael accepted Christ and was baptized when he was 16.  He became involved in leading youth groups at Sutherland Church of Christ and LeMars Church of Christ where he helped organize fun activities to encourage other youth to lead Christian lives and strength their walk with Christ.
 As an enthusiastic college student, Michael was involved in campus ministry at Nebraska Christian College where he graduated with a degree in family ministry in 2004.  While a student at NCC he received a service award for his demonstration of having a servant’s heart in 2003.  In 2004 he received a progress reward in recognition of significant spiritual and mental growth.  Soon after graduation he became a campus minister for Christian Student Fellowship where he started a campus ministry at the University of Nebraska Omaha campus.  He received a master’s degree in Counseling in 2011 and enjoyed working with adolescents as a Behavioral Health Therapist for Immanuel Hospital.
Jillian and Michael were married in 2004 and during their eleven years of marriage they had two boys, Micah and Jonah.
Michael loved his family, but above all he loved God.  He enjoyed reading anything that would help him strengthen his relationship with Jesus and with others.  In addition to reading, he loved spending time outdoors, fishing, watching movies and spending quality time with his sons.  Even though he struggled with his health, he never quavered in his faith of God’s perfect plan.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jillian; sons Micah and Jonah; parents Mark and Marcia Poyzer of Sheldon, IA; sister Mindee Henry of Wichita, KS; brother Matthew Poyzer of Chandler, AZ; grandmother Evelyn Collard of Orem, UT; grandfather Mel Poyzer of Pt. Isabel, TX and numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 


Dorothy Jane Battiato Age 93

Services: Funeral service Thursday, 1:00pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation: Visitation with the family begins Wednesday, after 6:00pm at the 72nd Street Chapel with a wake service at 7:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nebraska Humane Society or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, D.R. Battiato; daughter in law Judy Battiato. Survived by her children, Gary Spalti and Gay (Don) Younker; step son, Terry Battiato; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Former owner of Spirit World for 35 yrs, served on Omaha Symphony Board, Chadad of Nebraska Board, proud contributor to Neuro Science Research at UNMC, involved in numerous Civic and Charitable Organizations.

Survived by wife, Lisa Lewis; son, Dr. Travis Lewis of Philadelphia, Pa; brother, Gary (Cherry Witham) Lewis.

Johnson, Willard L., Age 83 years

Services: A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be Monday, November 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the John A. Gentleman Pacific Street Chapel.

Willard passed away October 29, 2015 surrounded by family. The body was cremated at his request. Willard was born April 6, 1932 in Superior WI. He served 32 years with the Omaha Fire Department retiring as Battalion Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau.
Willard was preceded in death by his father, Willard; mother, Bernice; two brothers, Jerry and David; one step-daughter, Robin Hodge; one great granddaughter, Sara Claborn. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; brother, Ray (Diane); sisters, Barb Turner and Judy Tiede; 9 children, Scott (Gina), Jill Mowery, Dale, Pam Lavin, Tracy (Connie), Matthew (Liz), Vanessa Arndt (Jeff Phillips), Haley Foster (Ron), Amy Zoll; 9 step-children, Becky Collins (Mick Koory), Casey (Jackie) Hodge, Steve Hodge, John (Terrie) Hodge, Jim Hodge, Andy Hodge, Jenny (Jeff) Claborn, Dan (Joy) Hodge, Tom (Julie) Hodge; 42 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
