Bob G Stephenson

July 12, 1941 — June 1, 2017

Survived by sister, Marsha (Gerald) Taylor; Niece, Marisa (Joe) Culhane; and great nephew, Liam Culhane. Bob was a son, brother, uncle and a great uncle. He dearly loved his niece and she absolutely adored him. He loved his new great nephew Liam, and Liam loved seeing his Uncle Bob. Bob was a jack-of-all-trades and had many different jobs in his lifetime. He even raised and showed German Shepherd dogs. But above all, his love was for flowers and plants. He could grow anything and he could also make beautiful arrangements. He truly had a “green thumb” and many sought his advice regarding flowers/plants. Loveable and kind, he easily made friends wherever he went. He held a special place in everyone’s heart and he will be missed dearly.

Brother

You gave no one a last farewell,

Nor ever said good-bye.

You were gone before I knew it,

and only God knows why.

A million times I will miss you.

A million times I will cry.

If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly.

In death I love you still.

In my heart you hold a place,

no one else can fill.

It broke my heart to lose you,

but you didn’t go alone,

for part of me went with you,

the day God took you home.

We will meet again someday

I know in a better place.

I thank God He made you MY brother

While you were here on earth.

Uncle Bob

There are Uncles to look up to,

Uncles who are wise,

Those who are good friends,

Those who advise…

There are Uncles who are lovable,

Uncles who are fun,

And there is you…

You’re all of these in one.
