He was a captain in the United States Air Force (Hamilton AFB) and served in South Korea during the Vietnam war. After marrying Bonnie Vallerino (1970) in California, they moved to Omaha. He began working at Northwestern Bell and retired after 32 years (Quest). He was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, the Phoenician Club of Omaha, the Midwest Federation of American Syrian Lebanese clubs, American Legion, Tangier Shriners, Omaha Consistory/Scottish rite , the Masonic Blue Lodge, Northwestern Bell Retirees Association and he served on the Board of Directors of the west Omaha YMCA.
