Elizabeth J. "Liz" Jochens

Elizabeth (Liz) J Jochens was born on June 26, 1955 in Dallas Center, IA where she grew up and later moved to Omaha, NE. Liz passed away on September 23, 2020 in Madison, WI.



Liz is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Thelma Jochens along with a sister Susan. She is survived by her son Franc (Emily) Warner of Madison, WI, daughter Susan (John) Woodrich of Omaha, NE and daughter Beth (Dave) Uhing of Omaha, NE. She leaves behind her sister Jean Matthews along with many grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, great nieces, great nephews and the twins.



Liz worked as a NICU nurse for many great years where she touched many lives including her fellow nurses and the families of the babies she so generously and compassionately cared for. Liz spent her life devoted to her family and friends. She had great pride in her kids and grandkids and would talk about them often. When not working or with family Liz loved to be with her Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed wine tastings, watching college sports especially Husker Football and Volleyball. Go Big Red! She enjoyed cooking shows and reading romance novels.
