Evelyn M Grof

Evelyn passed away peacefully, at the Nye Pointe Living Center. Born to Thedore and Katherine (Kramer) Grof in Atkinson, NE. She attended St. Joseph School, graduating in 1935. Evelyn then worked for the Law Office of Francis Lee in Atkinson and moved to Omaha, NE. in 1952. She worked for Mutual of Omaha for 40 years, retiring in 1992. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In 1999 she moved to New Cassel and in 2011 she moved to Nye Pointe Living Center in Fremont, NE. to be closer to her nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her family as a kind, loving and caring person. She enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews places and having them stay with her. She is survived by her sister, Mary Catherine (Bill) Jardee of Aurora, CO.; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; siblings and in laws, Eleanor (Joseph) Frickenstein; brother, Harold (Josephine) Grof.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 72nd Street Chapel, 1010 North 72 Street Omaha, Nebraska.
