Frederick J Simon

Frederick J. Simon passed away peacefully at his home the morning of September 28th, 2015, his loving family at his bedside. As father, grandfather, husband, brother, leader and friend - he inspired us all with his passion, dedication, humor and incredible generosity. From his ground-breaking work in marketing at Omaha Steaks to his commitment to community, there is so much to be learned from his life. Born on May 15, 1937, he attended Central High School and the University of Pennsylvania and spent his life enriching Omaha in numerous ways.



He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Trudy Simon and his brother, Stephen Simon. He is survived by his wife Eve Simon; son Todd Simon (Betiana); daughter Venus Simon French; stepson, Richard Ortega (Sheila); stepdaughter, Marisa Mayhan (Michael); and eight grandchildren: Susannah, Sarah, Aaron, Adam, Shemaya, Mia, Nico and Julian.



Though Fred’s list of accomplishments is long and impressive, we’ll remember the kind, generous man and take solace in the fact that his legacy will live on.



Services:

2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Temple Israel, 13111 Sterling Dr. Omaha, Nebraska.



Interment:

Temple Israel Cemetery, 42nd and Redick.
