James "Jim" L. Neneman

July 19th 1944 - Jan. 18th 2023

Jim was born and raised in south Omaha to parents Bud and Rose Neneman. The fourth of five kids and according to his mother, the most beautiful baby. He was always interested in cars and enjoyed working on them from a young age. He also quite enjoyed getting into mischief with his older brothers. He went to Omaha South High School and was extremely proud of being a south Omaha Polish boy. Due to his dad and uncles owning Neneman's Bakery he also developed a love for good pastry and an insane work ethic.

Jim's passion has always been people. He was happiest when he was with family and friends. Always bringing a smile, good laugh and a healthy dose of honesty to the room. You could count on him to lend you a helping hand whenever you needed one, especially if the problem could be fixed with duct tape or gorilla glue. He had the kindest soul and was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.

He met his beloved wife Roxann in the late 1970s and they were married in July of 1980. They have two children, Paul and Beth. He was the best dad. He worked nights in single copy sales for the Omaha World Herald for most of his working life and was always there and present for whatever activity his kids were involved in often on no sleep. He was always a very proud father and then in 2011 he became a very proud grandfather. His two grandchildren, Dyllan and Micalan brought him an immeasurable amount of joy.

He has left a large hole in the hearts of all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
