John M. Schenkelberg

John M. Schenkelberg passed away October 16, 2021. John was born July 22, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from UNO with an Associate degree. He worked for 30 years as a long-distance operator for AT&T.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament/St. Philip Neri in Omaha. John’s happy go lucky, maybe a little crazy attitude was enjoyed by many. His greatest joys were his grandchildren, family, friends, and hunting. He shared his smile and quirky jokes to make others feel good.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecilia and Bernard; brothers, Lambert, Gilbert, Bernie, Dick S. and Dick C.

He is survived by children, Andi (Scott) Brewer and Becky (Joe) DeMilt; grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Dylan, TJ, Lucas, Marley, and Tabitha; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
