Mark Thomas Merrill

Mark “Tom” Merrill caring husband, dad, grandpa, brother, friend, teller of terrible jokes and lover of all animals. He left this world May 25th, 2023 at the age of 71. Tom was born in Red Cloud, NE to Cecil and Helen Merrill. Fourth of eight children he went on to marry Joyce Busch on May 26, 1973. Tom and Joyce were blessed with four children, Erica, Becky, Patrick and Joey.

Tom loved spending time in the kitchen trying new recipes and sharing spicy foods with his loved ones. He enjoyed gardening with his wife especially growing tomatoes and peppers. He loved a day of golf with friends and spent many hours on the sidelines watching his grandchildren play various sports.

Tom is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Erica (Ryan) Richard, Becky (Ryan) McCreery, Patrick (Lindsey) Merrill, eight grandchildren, brother Rodney Merrill, sisters Cecilia (Joe) Bechtel, Vivian Harris, Vicki (Dave) Mauro, and Sandy (Edd) Bass. He was proceeded in death by his son Joseph Thomas Merrill, parents Cecil and Helen Merrill and brothers Pat Merrill and Tim Merrill.
