Michael Ryan Ginn

October 22, 1963 — August 16, 2015

Michael Ryan Ginn, beloved son of William and Sarah Ginn, died of pancreatic cancer at home on August 16th.



Computers captured his interest at a very early age and in the ninth grade, when Brownell-Talbot School gave him the chance to attend courses at UNO, he found evidence of hackers in two large Omaha company files. He attended Loveland Elementary, Brownell-Talbot School and Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. He graduated from Stanford University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in social psychology with Honors and Distinction and a master’s degree in computer science. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as a junior and Tau Beta Pi, a senior computer science honorary. While living in Silicon Valley he founded Realize Communications Corporation and he also created and sold many patents. Since his return to Omaha, he has worked for CRI as a computer analyst.



Survivors include his sister, Robyn Ginn Hubbard (David), sister-in-law Anne Bogensberger Ginn, brother Steven Ginn (Debra Rater Ginn), nieces and nephews James Hubbard and Alexandra Hubbard, Kiera Ginn, Caitlin Ginn and Conor W. Ginn. Michael is predeceased by his grandparents Raymond and Alice Ginn and Robert and Corinne Fulton and his brother Robert William Ginn.

Services, Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at Countryside Community Church.



Inurnment:

Forest Lawn Cemetery.
