Nathaniel K. Wiggins

May 11, 1999 — May 5, 2021

Survived by father, William K. Wiggins; mother, Nancy E. Wiggins; sister, Megan Wiggins; grandparents, Donald and Jackie Hudgens and Susan Kay Wiggins; extended family and friends. Preceded in death by grandfather, Larry Wiggins; great grandparents, Marvin and Kathleen Griess.

Nathan was born Tuesday May 11, 1999. Little sister Megan followed two years and two months later, what a proud and great big brother he was and he loved his sister dearly. Nathan was a special little boy who was smart, sweet, kind, sensitive, very thoughtful and had a passion to please. He was a complete joy to all who knew and loved him. Nathan loved spending time with all his cousins and aunts and uncles and of course, all his Grandparents. Nathan loved to play board games, (especially monopoly) camping, fishing, hunting for treasure (Cold Springs campground), hiking in the mountains, catching toads, playing in the sand, getting dirty, swimming, riding his bike and scooter, playing cribbage, and then of course there were the video games!

At around age 7 or 8 his best friend Andrew Wittwer brought him to Flatland Church where he eventually gave his life to Jesus on April 16, 2014. He was involved with mentoring the children and youth of Flatland and was involved in several Life-groups over the years. He was blessed by many to go on a Missionary trip to Costa Rica where they taught youth about Jesus and helped in the building of a school. This was a very special time for him. His love for serving Jesus and being around children has always been obvious to all who knew him. His time with Flatland Church has blessed him with many many great friends and great mentors and people who he considered family and that he truly loved.

In the 8th grade (Alice Buffet) he started his brief football career. He played through his junior year in high school (Burke) and this is where he made several more close friends whom he loved dearly, and several coaches he respected and admired. He chose not to play his senior year in high school to focus on his schoolwork and his plans for college. Nathan attended UNO where he planned to become a Chiropractor, however after one year he changed his career path and decided around March his Sophomore year it wasn’t for him. He began working at Re-bath and loved working with his hands building and remodeling bathrooms.

And of course Nathan loved spending time with family which he loved with all his heart.

Nathan will be missed by all, a beautiful child gone too soon but the calling was too great for him to bear.

Love,

Nathan’s Mom ️
