Rev. Robert J Smith

Robert Smith was born in a farmhouse north of Elgin, NE on Christmas Day, 1929. He was Ordained a Priest in 1955 and served parishes in Omaha and rural Nebraska. Fr. Smith also served as a missionary in Chile. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Katheryn Smith. Survived by his sister, Helen Neukirch; numerous nieces and nephews and his brother priests of the Archdiocese of Omaha.



Services:

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held Saturday, 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Elgin, NE. at 3pm, a quarter mile North of the house where he was born.



Visitation:

VISITATION will be held Friday 2-4:30pm at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 72nd Street Chapel, 1010 North 72 Street Omaha, Nebraska 68114, and after 6:15pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with a Wake Service at 7pm.
