Richard, 77, passed away on May 31, 2021 at home, surrounded by family. He was born August 2, 1943, in Ardmore, OK, the son of Tommie and Ethel Taylor.



Survived by wife, Doris; daughters, Patti (Fred) Anglin, Karen (Rick) May, and Tina (Brian) Holbrook; grandchildren, Jenna Anglin, Nikki and Corey May, Paige and Cole Holbrook, Jessica and Michelle May and Danielle May, preceded in death by parents, Tommie and Ethel Taylor.



Ric graduated from Burkburnett High School, Class of 1962. In 1963, he joined the US Navy and shortly thereafter met and married the love of his life, Doris Taylor (Whitt) in Memphis, TN in 1965. Together they had three beautiful daughters and 8 grandchildren. He retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief in 1991. Ric continued his service as a Federal Civilian until he retired in 2010. Ric loved sports (OU Football, Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees). He was an athlete who loved to play football, baseball, softball and golf. He enjoyed reading and watching movies about the US Military and Westerns. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.



Visitation will be Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00PM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. Graveside Service with military honors Monday at 9:00AM at Omaha National Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Veterans Association.
