Sharon Lee Vera (Means) Schleich

December 1, 1936 — December 24, 2016

After a long and courageous battle with multiple medical conditions, our beloved wife, mother, nana and friend to many was called home to heaven. Sharon, 80, lived all her life in Omaha and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for over 50 years. After graduating Central High School, she became a cosmetologist and later worked for an anesthesiologist billing office.

Sharon is preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Hazel Means; sister, Patricia VerHelst and twin sister, Maron Bicknell. Sharon is survived by her devoted caregiver and loving husband of nearly 60 years, Don; daughters, Connie Kozeny-Moskovits and husband Steve; Julie Leinart and husband Doug; Denise Polizzi and husband Greg; granddaughters, Jamie Leinart and Allison Kozeny who both “Love You More!”; sister-in-law, Patricia Kelley and husband Bill; and many nieces and nephews.

Though she had limited mobility the last few years, she enjoyed playing bridge, bunco and tripoley with her long-time friends, many of which she met at St. Pius X. Sharon and Don enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas, just getting back a few weeks ago.
