Shirley Jean Hogan

December 7, 1934 — September 8, 2022

Shirley Jean Anderson was born December 7, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska. To the parents of Frank and Elizabeth Anderson. She married her high school sweetheart John Hogan in 1954, to this union five daughters were born. She accepted Christ at an early age and stayed faithful until she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus September 8. 2022. She was the last survivor of nine children.

Shirley attended Long Elementary School where she excelled, graduated from Technical High School. Shirley furthered her education by attending Althouse Beauty School. She later opened her own beauty salon called (South Side ). For a number of years she worked for American Red Cross and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, later becoming the accountant for Hogan Hauling Inc.

Proceeded in death by parents Frank and Elizabeth Anderson, brothers, Frank (Sonny) Anderson Jr. Theodore (Eddie) Anderson and Herman Anderson; sisters, Esther Billingslee, Virginia (Dolly) Reese, Oralee Gill, Essie Ann Hayes, Alice Mary (Mable) Williams.

She leaves her loving husband of 67 years John, their five daughters , Vickie Horton, Debra Hogan of, Omaha, Nebraska, Johnnette (Pastor EuGene) Lewis, Seattle,WA, Shirley Williamson, Omaha, Nebraska, Gwendolyn Hogan, Seattle,WA. Life-long friend and sister -in-law Azalia Jackson, Omaha, Nebraska. Six Grandchildren: Tiree Butler, Frederick, MD, Jocelyn Walker, Omaha, Nebraska, Eugene Lewis, Huntsville, Al, Alexander Lewis, Seattle, WA, Adrianne Walker, Danny Horton Jr all of, Omaha, Nebraska, Seven Great-grandchildren: Brandon Williams of, Omaha, Nebraska, Tre Horton of Frederick, MD, Brandon Lewis of, Seattle, WA, Jaiden Walker, Danielle Horton -Powell, Demetrice Marable, B. Alex Williams all of, Omaha, Nebraska, Two Great great- grandchildren: Zaire Williams, Zidon Williams all of, Omaha, Nebraska, Godson John Young Jr of, Omaha, Nebraska and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
