Stephan "Mike" M. Hutfless

U.S. Navy veteran, served on U.S.S Bayfield. Longtime member, St. Bernard Parish. Mike met his future wife, Sally Sanders, at a time when both worked at Dun & Bradstreet, and they remained married for many decades until Sally passed away on August 28, 2022. Mike spent most of his career at Retail Credit Company (now Equifax.) He was a great dad and taught his kids many practical lessons, but also knew how to have fun with his family. He will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered by all.

Survived by children, Steve, Brian (Kris), Maureen, Kevin (Christina), Sheila Pino (Paul); grandchildren, Michaela Distefano, Michael Hutfless, Martin Hutfless, Mary Kate Rathmann (Sam), Patrick Hutfless; great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Sally; sons, Michael and Neil; parents, Stephan and Mary (Goeltl); siblings, Madeline Koutsky, Richard, Raymond, Frances Valenta, Ruth Rieser, Stanley, Frank, Nadine Straub; daughter-in-law, Robin Hutfless.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bernard Food Pantry or your favorite charity.
