Sterling Denard Boyles

Sterling Denard Boyles was born November 12, 1966 in Buffalo, NY to Hernando ‘Bud’ Boyles and Judy Boyles. He was an active kid and his family called him “Wild Man Mulligan” because he never stopped moving. His family transitioned to Omaha from Buffalo in 1976.



Sterling attended Millard Public Schools and graduated from Millard North High School in 1984. He called himself a “drama jock” and was in every musical and swing choir. Sterling lived up to his name with his outgoing personality that gave him the ability to spread his love of life with everyone he met. After high school, he attended University of Nebraska-Omaha on & off while working part-time or full-time. He worked at Grisanti’s for several years, where he met his wife Amy in 1991. They were married on July 9, 1994 and later had their first daughter, Alivia, on June 3, 1995. Three years later Lauren was born on July 15, 1998. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Mesa, AZ in December 1998 later returning to Omaha in 2002. They wanted to continue growing their family and welcomed Jordon Paul on May 18, 2005.



Sterling was a servant of God and volunteered in many church ministries and throughout the community. His involvement within the church included leading a small group, teaching for many years at a Sunday school class for the 3–4-year-olds, TRAC and Royal Family Kids Camp (a camp for foster kids), small group ministry, 4th-5th grade group leader, prison ministry, and volunteering as the lead host at the new Brookside Elkhorn campus. The impact he had on the community included being an active Pacific Woods HOA member, Code Black mentor, and Boy Scout Committee chair. The passion he had for technology led him to a career as an IT Senior Test Engineer at Blue Cross Blue Shield for over a year.



Sterling was so deeply loved by the many members of his immediate and extended family. His legacy will live on with his wife Amy Boyles and children Alivia, Lauren, and Jordon. He is also survived by his devoted father and mother, Hernando and Judy Boyles, and his brothers, Kevin and David.
