Vickie Devries

Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Lillie Richardson; infant son, Michael Devries; sister, Becky Richardson. Survived by sons, Kevin (Stacie) Devries, Erik Devries; granddaughter Lily Devries; brother, Jack Lee Richardson, Jr.; sister, Theresa Wiggins.



Vickie was known by many as a strong-willed and independent woman. To her boys, she was a Wonder Woman, she strived to ensure that they always had a roof over their heads and a place to grow. We will forever be grateful for all of her sacrifices and struggles.



She was an avid Trekkie and kept a special place for all things Sci-fi (especially if it had Sir Patrick Stewart in it). Vickie enjoyed reading and was a fan of authors Frank Herbert and Greg Iles.



In 2013, Vickie was blessed with a granddaughter, named after her mother, whom she loved and spoiled to no end by grandma. Lily will miss her “Gabugga”.

Vickie was diagnosed with cancer in August 2018. In 6 short months, she lost her battle with cancer, and we lost our rock. Not a single day will go by that we will not miss her quick wit and humor.
