Preceded in death by his son, James P. Silk; sister, Mildred Empkey and brother, Jack B. Silk.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Laura L. (Coad) Silk; children, Bill Silk, Maureen Moluf, Kevin (Gail) Silk, and Therese (Jim) Arkwright; grandchildren, Michele (Matt) Wafer, Arne Pat Moluf, Jason (Theresa) Arkwright, Melissa (Mike) Pettit, Andy (Alli) Arkwright, Eryn (Eric) Stevens, Dan (Jenn) Moluf, and Chris Arkwright; and seven great-grandchildren.
