August 25, 1945 — March 24, 2024

Albert L. Norman, Sr., age 78, also known as “Big Al”, of Bellevue, NE passed away on Sunday March 24, 2024. Born in Newton, MS, he was the second of four sons born to John and Annie Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rujay Norman and Ronnie Norman.

He graduated from Pilate High School in Newton, MS, then immediately joined the US Air Force where he served 26 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant. His second career was at Boeing Aerospace where he retired again after working twenty years.

He received a Bachelor of Business degree from Bellevue University, successfully completed the course to become a Community Service Chaplain and was a member of the Omaha Tuskegee Airmen group and very active in the Nobleman’s group.

He met and married the former Daisy Wilson while they were both in the military.  They were married for twenty-seven years, and to this union two children were born: Albert L. Norman, Jr. and Mahalia Refeld (John). They were blessed to have five grandchildren: Troy Norman-Latouche, Isaiah Loud, Albert Norman III (Tre), Andre Norman, and Olivia Herron, and, one great-grandson, Kingston Loud.

He leaves to cherish his memories, not only these loved ones, but one brother, Roy Norman (Martha), one nephew, Reginald Norman, a host of cousins; and special friends, Marjorie Oxford and Vanessa and Bruce Spangler.

Albert was a kind and gentle Christian who belonged to several churches in the area and attended regularly until his health would not allow him to do so. He donated to and worked yearly to feed and provide for the homeless and provided services to other veterans and older people in the community.  He was well loved by many and will be greatly missed.
