Donald Simonson

Lincoln

Donald C. Simonson was born on November 27, 1938, to Chris and Florence Simonson. He was born and raised in Newman Grove Nebraska.

He was a devoted husband, father, Brother, Uncle, and grandfather.

 

Proceeded in death by parents; first wife, Audra; daughter, Chantell. Survived by wife, Jona; daughters, René (Mike), Shelley (Shannon); son Shane; step children Lori (Joe) Rick; Sister, Hannah; Brothers, Byron and Dwight; many Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

After high school, he went to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He then served in the Army at the Pentagon and also served in Korea. 


In 1969 he married Audra, who had two children, René and Chantell, that he adopted. Later they had a son, Shane. He lost Audra six months after Shane was born.

 

In 1976 he married Linda who had  two children which he treated as his own. They later divorced.

 

In 1998 he married Jona  who had two grown children, Lori and Rick, and a niece Pam. He also treated them as his own. They shared 25 years until the day of his passing.

In all, between them they have 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren, and many Nephews and Nieces.

 

He sold heavy equipment the majority of his life until he started his own business, Nebraska Hydraulics in the late 80s.

 

He is Loved and will be missed by each and everyone.
