Joseph F. Pierce MSgt USAF (Ret.)

Joseph Francis Pierce passed away at his home in Bellevue Ne on June 19th, 2023 at the age of 89. Born Feb. 7, 1934. Married to Mary Ellen Schunk, had 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving throughout the U.S. and Turkey. He did mechanical inspections on air planes. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling in his younger days. Joe enjoyed watching sports and his ice cream. Often a man of few words. He will be dearly missed by his family & friends.

Survived by daughters Janice Pierce, Mary Beth Stoffel and Stephanie (Ed) Hathaway; 5 grandchildren Amber (Joe), Kyle, Brandon, Jessica and Joey; great grandson Jaxson; brothers Gerard and Donald Pierce. Preceded in death by wife Mary; son Joseph; parents Alfred and Margaret; siblings Ann Clayboss, Alfred, John and Edward Pierce.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00AM with Visitation 1 hour prior at St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic Church 12330 S. 36th St, Bellevue, NE. Inurnment: Bellevue Cemetery.
