Kenneth W. Johns was born on September 20, 1936 in Hillsboro, Texas to Robert L. and Doris Johns. He grew up hunting and fishing with his brothers. In 1953 he joined the USAF and spent 20 years moving from Texas to Scotland to Nebraska, where he retired in 1974. He and Janice were married in 1958 and were blessed with 3 sons: Brian, Bradly and Jeffrey. Ken spent another 30 years as proprietor of S.W. Dental Studio in Omaha, Nebraska. He enjoyed travel, fishing, playing bridge, buying gifts, talking on the phone, and helping his family and friends. Ken was called home by His Heavenly Father on September 24, 2023. Ken will be remembered for his kind and generous nature. Ken loved life! His body wore out but his spirit lives on!

Survived by wife of nearly 65 years, Janice; sons, Brian (Toni Ann) and Jeffrey Johns; grandchildren, Carly (Zachary) Horstman and Adam (Ashley) Johns; great grandson, Hudson; aunt, Jean Wheat; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Bradly Johns, parents, Robert and Doris Johns; 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Memorial Service Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00AM at Anderson Grove Presbyterian Church, 12005 S. 36th St., Bellevue, NE 68123. Inurnment at Omaha National Cemetery Tuesday October 17th at 11:00AM.
