Margaret "Marjean" Jean Lynch

Margaret Jean (Lubeley) Lynch, “Marjean,” 81, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully March 29, 2023.

Preceded in death by mother, Mercedes Lubeley and father, Emery Lubeley; husband, Michael Lynch; sister, Dolores Downing and brothers: Claire, Jim and Jack Lubeley. Survived by children: Jay (Susan) Lynch, Holly (Rick) Tiwald, Stephanie (Scott) Hickey, and Alison (Paul) Stormberg; 14 grandchildren: Nick (Melanie), Tucker (Lollie), Anna (Brendon), Dean (Hannah), Madeline, Cobie, Reed, Elsie, Cameron, Adelaide, Michael, Lydia, Henry, and Charleigh; 5 great-grandchildren: Jack, Kendall, Sutton, Blake, Korbyn; siblings: Cathy (Gary) Gilbert, Mary Sue Roh, and Bob (Helen) Lubeley; extended family and lifelong friends.

Marjean attended St. John’s Grade School, Mercy High School and College of Saint Mary. She truly loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marjean and her husband Mike were founding members of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed contributing her time and talents to charity including the Ses Enfants Auxiliary of Christ Child Society, Emergency Pregnancy Service, General Crook House, St. Pius X, Creighton Prep High School, Marian High School, and in recent years, Marjean knitted hats for Lydia House. She attended nearly every event of her children and grandchildren; bestowing homemade cookies on them as she went. A talented decorator, gourmet cook and seamstress, Marjean also enjoyed playing competitive bridge and cards with her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 15th, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church (1920 N 102nd St, Omaha, NE 68114) 9-10 a.m. with 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
