Mary Ann Reinhart-Williams

July 26, 1928 — June 11, 2023

Mary Ann Reinhart was born to Frank and Katherine (Walter) Reinhart on July 26, 1928 in Columbus, NE. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Humphrey, NE in 1946. She went to nursing school in Grand Island, NE and took her anesthesia training in Yankton, SD.

Mary Ann had a strong faith which guided her throughout her life. Her caring spirit led her to a lengthy and rewarding career in nursing as a nurse anesthetist, much of which she carried out in Omaha. However, in the mid-1960's she secured a civilian nursing position for two years at an Army hospital in Germany.

In August of 1978, Mary Ann married Jim Williams and together they traveled across the country, often attending rodeos. They enjoyed life together until Jim’s passing in June of 2003.

While Mary Ann had no children of her own, she was a devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She had numerous friendships and enjoyed playing cards, attending plays and taking trips with them.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Albert (Agnes) Reinhart, Ambrose (Marcella) Reinhart, sister Dorothy (Ed) Hittner, husband Jim, step children, step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.
