Robert Dean Price was born July 9, 1942, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. While growing up in Ogallala, Nebraska, his love of all sports sprouted and carried on throughout his whole life. Bob particularly excelled at football and was even nominated for the National Junior College All-American All Star football squad in 1961. Bob attended McCook Junior College, where he met Deannie and they were married in 1962. His first job out of college was working for a gas utility company alongside Deannie’s dad. It wasn’t until Bob decided to follow Jesus in 1971, that everything changed and the most exciting journey began. Bob and Deannie pursued their dream to work together in Tupperware and the Lord blessed this adventure in big ways. They spent 25 fun-filled years working together both domestically and internationally with Tupperware.
After retiring, Bob became an avid volunteer and was quick to step forward to help others in need, whether large or small. A few ministries he was passionate about included Noble Men, the Career Center, and several ministries in North Omaha.
One of Bob’s favorite memories of volunteering was a trip to Mali, West Africa, where he was privileged to help work on a developing hospital to provide care for women and children.
Bob lived out his faith in Jesus with enthusiasm. He loved people, he was a great encourager with a ready smile and talked often about the importance of being a servant leader.
As Bob’s Lewy Body Dementia disease progressed and he was no longer able to physically help others, he continued to bless and encourage people with his acceptance of the disease, his quick wit and his bright smile, which never faded.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Deannie; sons Jay (Joy) Price, Corey (Stacey) Price, and Darin (Jannie) Price; 4 granddaughters, 5 great grandchildren, numerous extended family members, and many, many friends
The Celebration of Robert's Life will be held on October 15th at 10:00AM at Christ Community Church.
